SUGGESTIONS FOR THE CORONADO MARATHON RIDE PARTICIPANTS DURING THE ARIZONA ATV OUTLAW TRAIL JAMBOREE:
This ride is definitely a MARATHON RIDE (218 miles R/T)!! We will be on a time schedule and must continue on at a fairly fast speed. Please be prepared in every way.
Check the following:
- Machines in good, working condition
- Jetted for High Altitude (over 9,000’)
- Clean Air Filters
- Check Chains
- Check Tires (tire repair kits a great idea)
- Working Headlights
- 4-Wheel Drive strongly recommended
Note: If for some reason you break down on Wednesday, we will have jamboree staff available to help you get back to town and, if possible, help get your ATV repaired. If your machine is able to continue on, we will have someone drive you and your machine back up to Hannagan Meadows so you can complete the ride on Thursday.
We cannot guarantee that you will be able to finish this particular ride; however, we will do our best to help you get back with your group or on another ride on Thursday.
Proper Gear: (Weather can change within minutes.)
Bad Weather – Rain gear and warm clothes (our monsoons started late this year, so the weather will be unpredictable! Check out the weather on our splash page of our website before you come.)
Dry Weather – Bandanas for dust & sun screen
You are responsible for your own extra gas, food, and snacks on this ride. Gas & food stops will be made mid-day on Wednesday & Thursday in Alpine. You will be able to have an awesome Bear Wallow burger (about $6) at the Bear Wallow Café. The Hannagan Meadows Lodge Restaurant will serve a buffet on Wednesday night for around $12 a plate. Drinks and dessert are extra. The restaurant closes down at 7 pm (You are expected to arrive at the
Lodge about 5:30 pm). The lodge also offers a breakfast buffet for about $7 a plate which is free to those staying at the lodge. Gas and snacks will be available at the gas station/store at Hannagan Meadows.
This beautiful ride will be a great experience and memory for you. We appreciate you being prepared in every way so that the ride will be an awesome experience for everyone! If you have any further questions, or concerns, please call our toll free number: (866)-520-3569
